Race to the Bottom

via Jennifer Burk

When you underbid your skills, you forfeit quality in exchange for cheaper quantity. Your work may increase margins but it undermines the original fabric of operations, not to mention damages the environment.

Do you cut corners in order to get ahead? Do you outsource the chance to do the work, think, and connect?

A text is a faster way to reach somebody but a real conversation means more, the same way a hand-written letter means more than an email.

All this technology is supposed to be saving time and bridging communication but instead sucks us in into a warp of distraction. We do more, share more, and then ask ourselves why we’re sick of it all.
