One Hour a Day

When Steven Soderbergh won the Oscar for Traffic he celebrated with a nod to the creator:

“This is for everybody who spends just one hour a day doing their craft.”

That’s it, just an hour, but it’s the hardest thing to commit to. You’ve got work, kids, pets, a partner, a life. You need sleep. It’s not easy, but it’s doable.

As Seth Godin says:

“Do small things.”

And Guy Davenport:

“As long as you have ideas you can keep going.”

Find a routine and set time (2 minutes, 5 minutes, an hour) and stick to it.
