There’s No Substitute for Hard Work

Malcolm Gladwell’s 10,000 hours and Angela Duckworth’s theory on grit are all saying the same thing: your goal has to find you working.

There’s zero replacement for hard work. If you want to live your life in highlight reels, just post on Instagram and Facebook.

Work is not a fair process. It is sweat, tears, and anxiety. I am writing a book right now that is kicking my ass.

However, it is the result that keeps you going. Not to mention, every day it gets a little easier to get to it.

It sounds cliche, but the only way to do is to do it.

When someone first asked Nike’s founder Phil Knight about the swoosh, this is what he said:

“It’s the sound of someone going past you.”

Be the runner.
