The banality of positive thinking

nik-shuliahin-192479A positive attitude can override anxiety and reality by amplifying conviction. The law of magnetism says how you think determines what you shall attract. But forced optimism is in clear danger of denying the truth.

There’s a gap between what we want to think and what’s actually happening. Undermining democracy and the facts with the seeds of ideological narcissism is not ok.

Things are complicated. Contradictions abound. There’s never one right answer; rather a connection and intended simplification of many. Seeing your way as the right one despite contrary evidence will lead you down a narrow path toward self-destruction.

If you’re on fire for something, be prepared to find the nearest extinguisher. Positive thinking may come back to bite you.
