A 36-Hour Train Ride

And so it begins. I’m taking a non-stop 36-hour train on Amtrak’s Coast Starlight from Seattle to Los Angeles where I plan to write a book.

Like all good ideas (tbd on “good”) I came up with this concept in this morning’s shower. My plan is to write a short novel on a fictional character named Paul, using the train as a metaphor for life’s journey.

Each chapter will be named after the cities I travel through: Portland, Sacramento, Santa Barbara, etc.

I quit my job and took this trip to figure shit out, aka explore a career in blogging or writing.

I’ll be posting photos of the journey on my Instagram, @bombtune.
