The feeds are taxing. Algorithms save time.
If I only get one chance to visit Instagram or Twitter daily, I'd like to see to juiciest stuff first. Mindlessly scrolling through a mess of shitty pictures and complaints is a bad experience.
I've written negatively about algorithms and their lack of human touch. But I'm changing my mind. There's too many social networks and too little time, especially as you get older. Let the machines solve the paradox of choice.
Thanks to everyone (Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, Twitter, etc.) and their secret sauce, the linear feed may be dead.
