Art as stimuli

Yes, art is unnecessary. It is “everything you don’t have to do,” as Brian Eno put it. But it’s also the fuel that powers emotions and deeper thinking.

We need art just as we need food.

Creativity is stimuli, offering a temporary escape from neutrality. It is a mechanism to deliver value to ourselves and others through provocation. 

Art is both a barometer and driver of human progress. It is a snapshot of time, illustrating the context and habits of now and yesterday. 

Cinemagraphs of waves reminds us that water controls the Earth. Images of loose plastic remind us not to dump problems on tomorrow.

Art prompts us to slow down and see the beauty of what’s already there. The brain needs to chew on an imaginative process.

Obsessed with innovation, especially in the chase of ephemeral pixels, we forget that design matters.

Art is a type of resourceful, benevolent work that chews on an imagination process. It drives culture, innovation and assures the durability of ideas.

Everyone goes to the museum searching for beauty and awe, but everyone stays for the prospect of being inspired.
