Blend In to Stand Out

Everyone is weird. The only difference is how we choose to show it.

Walk anywhere today and people have their heads burried in their mobile phones. They could be tweaking an Instagram, taking a note, texting, finding an Uber, browsing the web, or playing a game. It doesn't matter what they're doing. They all look the same in doing it.

Meanwhile, a person stopping in the street to write in their notebook sticks out like a purple cow. Why aren't they using a phone like the rest of us? Surely, they must be a little off.

While refusing to conform signals uniqueness it doesn't necessitate weirdness. The person holding a mobile phone could be sketching up a new business idea while the person writing in their notebook could simply be outlining a to-do list.

The objects we hold may unite us but they camoflauge our intentions and rarely define us.

Phones are just tools for expression. Like any canvass, the content that goes inside them is the stuff to judge.

Note: Blackberry users raise the biggest questions. Slow adopters may be the weirdest of them all.
