Borrowed Ladder

Get the ball rolling. Start something. Break something. Move something. Recast it. Remix it.

The past, present, and future roll into one. The biggest niches become mainstream. They pop a culture that can’t decide. Meanwhile, the smaller groups unravel into the weird. The remainder dissolve into the underground.

The thing, group, or interest that ranks in obscurity is misunderstood but never the least important. Hip hop evolved to voice society’s injustices and concerns. Twitter is a microphone for calling attention to gender inequality in Silicon Valley.

The most important work often gets dismissed in its early stages and replaced by tabloid news of stupid rich people. Ignorance sells. Once you ignore the circus and intend to do what matters, the ladder gets easier to climb up.
