Reverting to inclination

‘America first’ breeds an architecture of fear. It compels other nations to cling onto their own nationalist tendencies in pursuit of their own primacy.

The internet flattened world only temporarily before mobile phones made people screen-obsessed and non-interactive, further pigeonholing them into online groups that merely reconfirmed their biased beliefs.

As conformity increased in the long tail, broader differences compounded. Today’s mob has repopularized coercion out of short term gains. What comes naturally puts a dent into the artificiality of freedom.

If America gives up doing the good work, others will fall like dominoes. Bad design is easy to replicate.

Who’s in control?

ronald-yang-21762.jpg

The power of continuous small actions from a plurality of groups can, when added up, deconstruct a traditional organized system.

You don’t have to be an elected official or celebrity artist to influence the outcome of larger events. Like a swarm of bees, a group or groups of groups can suffocate the whole.

But it’s not quite clear who exactly, professionals, lobbyists, or the collaborative stealth is playing the most rational actor. Such is a deep state.

Deflecting attention

Hide enough you’ll eventually get caught. (image via Claudel Rheault)

If you know what you’re looking for, you’re most likely to find it. But persistence can become the problem. In falling short of your endeavor, you cheat or start fabricating stories to compensate for your underperformance.

It’s a basic practice to admit your mistakes. People who invest in their own lies gradually wither away. If denied, truth becomes unbearable.

Deflecting attention is a short-term gain. On the other hand, acceptance propels the need to contribute.

Stem the tide

IMG_0569.JPG

Automatons are soulless; they operate on voltage levels. However, humans can also be cruel, drugging the thinking out of their mind.

Evil is infectious; it spreads like a fungus.

The only way to beat a moral coward it is to drain their morbid curiosity with a thoughtful mind.

The accumulation of progressive effort stems the tide of pessimism.

Beat them with kindness, letting the know they have a responsibility to act in good faith while they are alive.

The brain of a faulty believer

yoann-boyer-214415.jpg

They think they have a sound grip on reality.

They believe their own propaganda.

Politics is a game of incentives, a relentless “mind killer where moral cowards respond to temptation. But courage will remain in continuous fashion.

Some minds may be fickle, like blobs of mercury, but they usually make the right call even while cronies reap all the rewards.

Winston Churchill on the importance of a free press

“A free press is the unsleeping guardian of every other right that free men prize; it is the most dangerous foe of tyranny.”
