Click • Hole: When a social media platform is so addictive and dopamine-hitting that it makes you get stuck and go unconscious, making you forget what you’re doing in the first place.
Facebook is the biggest click hole. Every time I go on there for personal or work or reasons, I lose focus on my original intention. The newsfeed bounces me around between articles, videos, and friend’s status updates. Click, click, click.
People aren’t sharing personal stuff on Facebook anymore because it’s become more like Twitter, a place for sharing what’s interesting instead of what’s happening in your life.
So down the click hole we go, losing our place as if there was a bookmark to begin with.
