Content as an API

People sit on web domains like plots of land. The also sit on content. I used to be one of those people.

Now I think of my blog content as an API. I crosspost my journal entries across sites like Tumblr, Medium, Facebook, and LinkedIn. It doesn’t matter where the audience consumes the information, just that they read it.

The blog is just the palette, a place to start and store our thoughts. I like keeping all my content in one place. But the content is an API. It should appear native everywhere.

So make content accessible. Fish where the fish are.
