Creativity Is Messy

How do you write? Do you think in tweets or do you blog first and then then crunch it down into shareable pieces?

How do you take photos? Do you take a bunch of photos at once and then go back and pick the best one or do you prefer taking screen grabs from recorded video?

Creators often emphasize process. But there’s no one way to create. Once you start, processes should be permitted to blend in and connect to each other. Don’t be afraid to deviate.

If your goal is to write a blog post on Medium and it helps you to tweet some sentences first, do it. If it helps to capture some photos before leading into video, do that. Do all vice versa. Do whatever it takes to jumpstart the creative engine.

Creativity is a messy process. How you start is not necessarily how it should end.

Shake it up.
