Enter the Periscopers

  • The bedroom musicians
  • The Instagrammers
  • The Snapchatters

And now the Periscopers.

When everyone can be an artist and broadcaster, the lines between professionalism and amateur mesh. Why wouldn’t we watch both the TV and a second screen boxing match a few rows away from the ring. We want the realist perspective. The Periscope quality may not be HD (yet) but at least it puts us virtually and vicariously in the audience.

Twitter’s got a gem in Periscope, one that can be the public-facing version of a close-walled Snapchat. So if you’re one to attend exclusive events and doing exciting things, tune the rest of us in. Like the rest of social media, you don’t have to be a celebrity or a filmmaker like Steven Spielberg. You just have to have a cool perspective.
