Fifteen minutes for eternity

Fifteen minutes of fame, fifteen minutes of anonymity, and fifteen minutes of meditation. We all want to leave the world we're in to bask in fifteen minutes of mental rewiring.

Not ten, not five, but fifteen.

Fifteen minutes is just enough time to bake in an experience. It allows us to create something memorable even if we don't deem it worthwhile.

We feel the freest when we're constricted by a deadline or danger. It allows us to escape everyday mailaise.

In search of a stimulus, the rush of blood to the head turns a moment into a milestone of excitement. We successfully avoid the unconscious hijack of what comes next.

The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.

John Milton

Once we scratch the itch for a little bit of time, life can go on.

A fleeting fifteen minutes is sometimes all we need to keep going. It's the tyranny of the clock that begs us to stop.
