Google’s Art Camera

Don't take any picture that can be googled, unless that picture is a work of art.

Google built a super high-res camera called the “Art Camera” which can zoom in on the finest details of artworks, revealing “Van Gogh's brush strokes and the dabs of oil paint.”

Check out some of the scanned pieces on the Google Cultural Institute's website.

Fast-forward to the future: We'll be able to use Google Cardboard to view these images in a virtual reality museum, not to mention own one of these cameras ourselves.
