How to Know Everybody

We see a bunch of people every day that we’ll never see again. This is even truer in New York.

It’s actually kind of sad when you think about it. Maybe there was a potential friend or mate in the crowd just waiting to be discovered. Whether you realize it or not, you quickly pass judgement on everyone you see. If you do see someone more than once take note; the forces of nature may just want you to meet.

Sometimes a flock of people can you make you feel even lonelier. But you can’t know everyone, just like you can’t visit every page on the web. That’s why it’s important to harness the relationships we already have.

The only way to know everyone or make the world feel like they know you is to do something remarkable. Steve Jobs touched everyone with his creativity. We never knew him but we knew what he was like through the work he shipped.

Every one of us has something to contribute. You may not know everyone, but you can reach and inspire them through your art. So make stuff, and love the ones you actually get to know along the way.
