Lost and Unfound

Misplacing items is different than losing them, which would assume that they’re gone forever.

Ironically, it’s when we stop looking for them that they resurface. “Oh, there they are.” It’s also not surprising that items like these get rediscovered in places we don’t normally put them.

We’re creatures of habit. Misplacing items remind us that we’re still human. Meanwhile, what’s “lost” might as well be gone forever.
