Life & Philosophy

We pay attention to whatever is top of mind. So if we have a propensity for a bad attitude then we’re going to see the world with a negative lens. If we’re naturally positive, the world is our oyster.

If we’re looking to create a new business then we see new opportunites everywhere. Our brain leaks new ideas.

And so on…

All outlooks are nonetheless vital. There’s no way to enjoy happiness without first suffering. There’s now way to generate good ideas without coming up with bad ones.

Everything plays off each other.

“We have two lives… the life we learn with and the life we live after that. Suffering is what brings us towards happiness.”
Bernard Malamud, The Natural
