Neil Gaiman Commencement Address (2012)

How to avoid the miserable career:

Do the next thing on the list.

I learned to write by writing.

Stop when it feels like work.

Any moment now they will discover you.

Learn to say no.

The world conspires against success.

Stop responding to email and writing more.

When things get tough, make good art.  Make it on the bad days.  Make it the good days too.

The things I did the best were the ones I was the most unsure about.

Enjoy it more…Let go and enjoy the ride.

Make interesting mistakes…Break rules…Make good art.
