Not every person learns the same.  When you try to standardize the system, you’ll bore at least half of the people and build mimetic soldiers into the rest.

The SAT is the poorest test to this day for predicting future success.  The world contains a plurality of brains and solutions, operating on different levels of creativity.  No one person thinks the same.

Every day is a surprise.  Learning prepares you to cope with the surprises.  Education prepares you cope with certainty.  There is no certainty.  – Stephen Heppell

Automation stagnates learning, which inhibits new neurons from growing in the brain.  We need to convert educational steps into creative experimentation.  Fail often.  And rehearse the practice of learning with others so we’re not the only ones thinking and doing different.

The future of education will explode if teachers can successfully bring together technology, community, and uncertainty to create a more natural learning environment.
