Sometimes I’ll scroll through my Instagram feed and like every picture, whether it’s posted by an iPhoneographer or a friend.

But sometimes liking everything feels like liking nothing. This goes for favoriting on Twitter as well. Sometimes I’ll just favorite a tweet to acknowledge I saw it without even enjoying the content.

The “Like” feature is a losing some of its meaning. Most of it this is due to all the noise. Who isn’t using social media?

Like this, like that. The mere act of following and opting in to see someone’s content may be enough.
