Playing with genes

You’re a combination of genes and experience. You can’t do much about your genes. Accept them. But you can manipulate experience to reshape any genetic predispositions.

You can surround yourself with good people and inspiration. You can work hard, show up on time, and be prepared and organized. All those are free with a little bit of will. No talent required.

Experience puts the bones in the goose. It gets hard-wired through practice. You can’t buy a new pair of genes but you can build better experiences.
