Producing good ideas 🎯

Good ideas spread

Know one knows which ideas are going to work. Ideas are nothing but thoughts without execution.

But ideas shape our thinking. They inspire people to conjure up possibilities. Even if the originator doesn’t attempt to make the idea happen, it may fall on the hands of someone else willing to give it a shot.

If Elon Musk never proposed the idea for Hyperloop, these students and companies wouldn’t be turning it into reality.

The only way to create good ideas is to have a lot of bad ones.

Sometimes a good idea is a connection of failed, bad ideas. The right answer is a function of the mistakes.

Perhaps the idea isn’t even bad but too early for its intended environment. For one, technology doesn’t move as fast moving as you think. People have been talking about virtual reality for 50 years. It’s just now coming to fruition. Mars exploration is also just beginning.

Ideas are meant to be ridiculous. It’s no surprise that the ones that work are considered remarkable and get praised for their originality.

A “bad” idea isn’t so stupid after all.
