Some people sign off their emails with an initial or the first character in their name. Calling yourself a letter indicates a few things:
- You’re gloating. Apparently you’re too busy to type your whole name out.
- You’re arrogant. Declaring yourself a letter is like marking your territory. There’s no regal status in the workplace, let alone life.
- You demand respect. Shortening your name is shouting to the recipient(s) to take notice.
Instead of taking ownership of a letter in the alphabet, type your whole name out, abridge it with at least a couple characters, or leave the name space blank. We know there’s only one of you.
