So Super

  • Super tasty
  • Super great
  • Super bored
  • Super awesome
  • Super huge
  • Super fun
  • Super exciting
  • Super easy
  • Super hot
  • Super cold
  • Super dangerous etc.

Is it just me or people are using “super” these days as a replacement for “so?” I can’t even remember the last time I heard “so.”

There’s nothing wrong with using “super” in exchange for “so” except that it presents a contradiction when it’s attached to something negative. How can something be “super bad” for you when the word “super” is inherently good?

Perhaps it’s already too late to make “super” inflexible. People are attaching it to everything now.
