What are your escape zones?

What are the things you do or the places you go to get out of your own head?

For some, it’s meditation. For others, it’s attending church, playing video games, going for a long run, or studying at the cafe.

In the search of that third place, whether it be in reality, in your daydreams, or online, the environment must offer an escape zone from everydayness.

It’s not so much that the present is too difficult to bear—there’s no avoiding one’s senses—it’s the urge to disconnect from robotic guidance. Humans do not run on algorithms.

The mind wants to explore the variables, venture into parts unknown. Real living is the effort of getting unstuck.
