Teresa hits it right on the head.  You keep a journal so you can look back and connect ideas.  

A journal can be private or public.  It can be in public blog format such as this, on twitter or Facebook, or in private written in your Moleskine or in the Day One app.

Social media has made us all diarists.  So we’re used to it.  But how often do you look back and connect the dots?  There’s ideas hiding in your lifestream.
