The Internet Works for Us

We own the Internet. As soon as its power is given to the control of states, algorithms, and robots we’re doomed.

We need freedom from control, predictability, and automation. We need to be able to think, not just ingest.

“…we’re going to ingest information. You’re going to swallow a pill and know English. You’re going to swallow a pill and know Shakespeare. The way to do it is through the bloodstream; once it’s in your bloodstream, it basically goes through and gets into the brain and when it knows it’s in the brain it deposits the information in the right places. – Nicholas Negroponte

The world’s culture ends when people occupy the same skills and adopt the same interests. The world doesn’t just become flat, it becomes banal.

Creativity thrives off spontaneity and difference and learning from each other, not an ‘Internet of things.’

The Internet exists to make humanity inherently smarter and more cooperative. Sameness destroy creativity.
