The Ongoing Story: Twitter and Writing

Great piece by Thomas Beller on the complications and benefits of drafting thoughts through Twitter:

I had always thought of Twitter as being a good place to work out ideas: a place to mull things over in public, and a way of documenting a thought to make it more likely that I would remember it.

We live in a transparent age, and yet there is much of value that happens in the opaque quarters of our own ambivalent minds, seen by no one else, and seen by us only after a long period of concentration and looking.
