Twitter is acting more like Facebook

I love Twitter. It’s a great place follow and converse with like-minded people.

But lately it’s been acting more like Facebook. People are tweeting too much about their personal lives. Pictures of your kids and your venting frustrations at the airport are really reserved Facebook posts.

Don’t clog the feed up with irrelevance when I want your expertise. Be a significant provider of interesting stuff, whether it be links to articles and insightful and honest opinions. A joke here and there really works too. Give me something useful that I can retweet or that sparks an idea for this blog.

I’m happy that people are more comfortable sharing publicly. That’s always been the greatest fear in using Twitter. But be mindful of your content. Give us stuff that resonates.
