Why Nothing Is Truly Alive

Life is a concept, not a reality.

I like to think that everything that breathes is alive and well. But enough of the life/non-life debate. The complexity of the sheer concept of life is why Earth works.

Likewise, “life” is an idea. We find it useful to think of some things as alive and others as inanimate, but this division exists only in our heads.
