Ancitipating fears

Anxiety is stress in advance. It feeds on the possibility of failure or the worst-case scenario coming to fruition. The mind’s eye is powerful and bewildering. Thankfully, we can contain the visual monkey mind to work in your favor.

Have you ever heard of hope? It’s one of those blind, visceral feelings that neutralizes fear. The nerves never dissipate—we just become stiff to it. We dance to the fear with it to the point where the action precedes the hesitation.

Competency results from experimentation, with trials producing less error over time. Eventually, we stop persevering about the future. The only inner monologue that bites is not doing anything.
