Finding creative rhythm

No one ever knows when creativity will strike. For some, it’s routines that inspire output. The consistency of the paint requires true grit. 

For others, all the daily building does is create burnout. Breaks, on the other hand, are more optimal for sustaining passion.

Working in intervals and allowing effort to simmer begets insights on the next go-round. Some sprinters, for instance, run faster while they train less.

The optimal practice is subjective. The thrill of starting before you’re ready and seeing where the story goes comes from uncoerced deliberation.
