Harmony from noise

Don’t take someone else’s inventory, they say. 

In this day and age, everybody gets their moment in the sun. The internet is the great Shakespearean stage. 

The grand challenge is filtering through the noise. We communicate to a mass of niches, some more difficult to penetrate than others. Aggregating multiple streams into a choir of one is target practice.

The contact hypothesis says that we should also embrace other niches: the edgy, over-expressive, and even perhaps banal. Those differences strengthen the neural pathways, enabling understanding and emotional balance.
